Green Valley Veterinary Care is instituting concierge medicine until further notice to prevent the spread of COVID – 19 within our facility. We are also practicing increased sanitization measures to keep our facility virus free. These measures are being taken so we can keep you and the GVVC staff as safe as possible. As health care providers, we feel it is our responsibility to provide you with the safest care. We want to do our part to “flatten the curve.”
For scheduled appointments, you will call us upon arrival to our facility. We will then review your pet’s needs over the phone with you before we meet you in the parking lot. The GVVC staff will bring your pet into our facility while you wait in the comfort of your car.
During your pet’s physical, you can either connect with us using Facetime, Google Duo or remain on speaker phone while Dr. Mathews performs her physical exam.
We will then cover an estimate for the day’s visit before we proceed with any services or treatments. When it is time for discharge, we will meet you again in the parking lot to give your loved pet back to you.
We will also be offering telemedicine consults for your pet if you are:
Experiencing a common cold or flu-like symptoms such as a fever, runny nose, sore throat, or cough
Have been exposed to COVID-19 – symptoms may not develop for as long as 14 days post-exposure
Are trying to practice social distance.
Telemedicine will be offered to pets that have had a physical exam with Dr. Mathews within the past year. An online consult may not be appropriate for your pet’s specific case. A hands-on physical will always be superior to a virtual visit for your pet, but during this uncertain time, we would like to ensure your pet is cared for.
If you feel like your pet needs medical attention and is unable to leave your home, please call out office during business hours to discuss if a virtual visit is indicated for your pet’s needs.
We will get through this together in the safest way possible.
